Settling in, Selling Out, and Playing Fetch (Sort Of): Life in Colorado Springs

📍 Peak RV Park, Colorado Springs, CO
🗓️ July 29 – August 5
After rolling into Colorado Springs, we got settled at Peak RV Park — and wow, what a view! We’ve got the Rockies right outside our office and deck doors, which makes working (almost) feel like a vacation. The park has clean gravel sites, a super friendly staff, and a great RV community vibe.
Laser is loving the dog run — although she’s still working out the finer details of the whole fetch concept (namely, that you’re supposed to bring the ball back). Major, meanwhile, is in heaven with all the people offering head pats like he’s a celebrity.
We spent most of the week prepping for the Colorado Springs Flea Market. In true "real life" fashion, we totally overslept on the first day and didn’t haul out as much inventory as planned — but it still turned out fantastic. We met tons of awesome folks, created unique custom gifts, and even helped a few shoppers treat themselves. Across the market road, a sweet family was selling delicious cantaloupes and baked goods. Their grandson, who was helping his grandpa, was full of questions about the laser and so polite — we absolutely adored him.
On Sunday, we took a much-needed break from laser life and met up with our cousins who live in Denver. We brought Laser along for an outing to Garden of the Gods, where she climbed rocks like a little mountain goat and took in all the majestic views like a true explorer. After some short hikes, we wrapped up the day with a super fun meal at The Airplane Restaurant — yep, we got to eat inside a refueler airplane. Such a fun and quirky spot, and the food hit the spot after all that adventuring.
After the long weekend, I finally tackled the garage and office, taking advantage of the cleared-out inventory. I reorganized everything into a more functional (and less chaotic) setup — now the office is spic ’n span and ready for another busy week of order fulfillment and shipping to our merchandising partners.
Colorado Springs, you’ve been good to us already — and we’ve still got more to see. Until next time, keep waddling forward. 🐾
